Twin peaks were hiked Sat. August 23rd 2014 with Don Otis and Ken Emmerson. We started from the Beehive Lake trailhead and went all the way to the lake. From the East end of the lake we headed North to the top of the ridge that separates Little Harrison Lake from Beehive Lake. We followed this ridge all the way up onto the first of the Twin Peaks. You can get an idea of this ridge from the posted panorama.
After spending some time at the top of the first twin, we decided to head down the southeast side of the peak. We headed down until we reached the top of the boulder field and followed cairns to the base of the second twin. After much discussion we decided to go up the northeast side of the taller peak. The route was very steep, but turned out the be the most direct and established. We reached the top and found an amazing view.
Way down seemed long as always, but everyone made it out with nothing more than scratches.
